This is a homemade German choc garden cake with watermelon, summer squash, lettuce & pumpkin patch, cauliflower & sunflowers. I crumbled up chocolate cake to make the soil under the veggies. A total hit! They were even eating the marzipan! I made the marzipan watermelon red on the inside and put a layer of green and then stripes of lighter green on the outside. I sliced it and served it with the cake.
This is a ladybug cake I made for my daughter's 3rd b-day. I used coolwhip as the icing and colored sugar to make it red. I used non-pariels for the eyes-with red hots 'glued' on w/ icing and malted milk balls for the spots. It was angelfood ice cream cake w/ sherbet in the center. I cheated and bought an angelfod cake that I trimmed for the bottom & filled the center and baked a choc. cake in a bowl for the top. Nextime I will use all angelfood cake. It froze better than the oil cake recipe. She LOVED it.
This is a healthy cake I made for my daughters 1st birthday. I used cream cheese frosting that I folded a few slices of fresh beets into to make it pink. It was delicious. The cake recipe is called bunny cake because of the carrots in it.

oops-i 1st uploaded the pic w/his face. This is a drivers license cake that I made for my son who got his license on his birthday.(the numbers arent accurate for privacy reasons). It was really easy to make! It was the 1st cake I ever cooked w/ a nail in it to make it nice & flat. It's not trimmed to be that flat! It cooked that way!
