Tikki Birthday
Made for a 50th birthday so it was kept a little more mature and classy than a super carved cake. Everything is edible. Flowers and palm tree are gumpaste, everything else is fondant. You can actually light the tiki torches! It doesn't come up in the photo, but the layers are handpainted and have a nice 'sunset' tie dye look to them.

Princes Cake
Make for a friend who is like a real life barbie! I made this cake in a matter of hours (from mixing the cake from scratch to lighting the candle for the bday girl!), which is why the quilting doesn't look quite right and I didn't have time to dot it. The tiara and boa are store bought 1. for time and 2. so she could wear them for the night out! The whole cake was shimmer coated.

House Boat
Make for a surprise 50th and designed after the birthday boys house boat. The main accessory for this family were the teal aderondak chairs which proved a lot harder to make than i thought. It's made of cake and covered in fondant. The bouyes are based off of the ones used on the north shore of long island ny. There are usually lights at the top, which I replaced with a hidden birthday candle so they could actually light them.

Frog On The Pond.
Made for an avid golfers birthday. The idea is the golfer (birthday boy) got his golf ball stuck on the lilly pad and now the frog is laughing at him! Everything on the cake is sculpted out of fondant and completely edible except for the flag pole. The sand is made out of a mixture of brown sugar and crushed gram-crackers. This cake is made of 3 layers and the writing is done with chocolate.
