First Paying Wedding Cake!!
This is the first wedding cake Ive done apart from my own! It was very nerve wracking but when I took it to the reception hall, where the groom was frantically putting out the flowers and setting up the tables, he was so pleased he gave me a big hug and called all his ushers and best man over to look too! Thank goodness! Tell me this gets less nerve wracking!! the cake is a fruit cake on bottom and madeira on top. Covered with fondant and all decorations are fondant.

Football Team Cake
Everton football cake for my stepdads sixtieth birthday. First ever stacked cake, thanks for the advice from CC'ers! It was not as difficult as I thought after I got good advice! I piped the badge in royal icing, which was terrifying as Im pretty shocking at piping, but I was pleased with how it came out! It was a gluten free madeira cake with lemon icing, covered in fondant.

Ducky Surprise!
My step brother and his girlfriend just had a baby a couple of weeks ago. I spoke to him a couple of days ago and he sounded exhausted and a little crestfallen after several days of two hours sleep a night! Brought back the memories of first baby culture shock, I thought I would send this down with my mum who is visiting tomorrow to keep their strength up and hopefully make them laugh, I made it in an afternoon so it was a quickie, but I like the way it turned out!

Snowflake Dummy Cake
I iced this dummy so that I could put pics on a poster for advertising for Christmas. I used fondant and the pme punches for the snowflakes, and brushed the cake with lustre dust afterwards. I took inspiration from some lovely cakes on here that used pale blue and snowflakes, they always look so pretty!

Bauble Cake
This is a dummy cake, I'm making a few to put on a flyer to hopefully get a bit of business in December!! I was inspired by the amazing bauble cakes on Cupcake Envy's website... It's all made from fondant. I would really appreciate feedback and any ideas you think might improve the cake!

My Wedding Cake!
I made this for my own wedding in August. I have just realised that I took the pic before I had put the ribbon round the boards - so imagine it with pale green on the boards lol! Top two teirs were chocolate orange cake with choc orange buttercream, the bottom was lemon madeira with lemon curd butter cream. I covered the cakes in sugarpaste and made all the decorations out of modelling paste, apart from the daisy chain leaves and stalks which were piped in royal icing.

Hairdressing Theme Birthday Cake
I was asked to do a 40th cake for a hairdresser. I struggled a bit with this theme, I don't know why, I just didn't find it that inspiring!! I saw some lovely quilted effect cakes on here though and took inspiration from them, its the first time I have tried that effect. I tried to make the message look like it was being made by the hairdressing objects, no idea if I really succeeded! LOL. All fondant decorations.

Halloween Witch Cake!
I made this cake as a practice run, to try out a few new ideas. I used wilton colour sprays, which I was expecting to be easier, the black didnt come out as dark as I wanted! This one was inspired by a cake in a Debbie Brown book. Chocolate cake with peanut butter filling. Covered in fondant and figures made with fondant too. Cake is on a chopping board and not finished properly round the bottom as it is only going to be scoffed by my boys!
