Pool Table Groom's Cake

This one was a challenge for me, I haven't worked enough with realistic buttercream. The cake is chocolate with vanilla buttercream (by request), and only the cue, balls, and holes are fondant. The balls were so tiny it was difficult to make them realistic!

Guitar Cake

A triple layer, dark chocolate whiskey cake sandwiched with a whiskey ganache, brushed with a whiskey syrup, and covered in a swiss meringue buttercream. The guitars are chocolate, hand-drawn. Made for an employee in the music industry to cater to her love of rock and alcohol.

Bus Sign Cake

A grooms cake for a groom who used to be a transit bus driver. Modeled after the sign, also pictured here, the cake was covered in a homemade MMF and was a cappuccino swirl cake with cinnamon buttercream.

Office Cake For My Office

A "just because" cake for my office. It's chocolate cake filled with white chocolate whipped cream and fresh strawberries, covered with a vanilla buttercream and chocolate marshmallow fondant and regular MMF accents. The chocolate MMF was tough because the cocoa made it crack... I had to be creative to cover up most of those. Overall, not terribly pleased but it sure was tasty!

Easter Cake

First cake-decorating attempt. The pink covering was homemade marshmallow fondant, the grass was tinted coconut, and all other accents (flowers, picket fence, bunnies, chicks, carrots, eggs) were store-bought rolled fondant. Learned a lot of lessons for next time! Thanks to other CC cakes that served as inspiration.
