Elmo 3D Cake
This is an Elmo cake that I duplicated from one that a client found on the internet. It is a three layer chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling, Vanilla Buttercream was used to cover it, and the blue part is airbrushed. I used rice krispie treats for the mouth part of Elmo, and fondant for the eyes and nose. then I used a three star tip to pipe his 'fur' on him. This was a really fun cake to make, and surprisingly easy! I loved how it came out. I had a red boa around the cake board, but didnt take pictures of that - sorry!

My First Box Cake
This is my first 3D box cake, I made the bottom with a 12" round and the top is an 8" square three layer cake. The bottom layer is buttercream, with fondant stripes. I wanted to do a damask stencil on the top layer (which is covered in MM fondant) but I didnt get my stencils in time in the mail. So I attempted to handpaint it with this design. I wasnt really happy with it because I had something else in mind. The roses are fondant rolled roses with fondant leaves, and gumpaste tissue.

The Hollywood Cake
Here is the Hollywood cake I made for a birthday.... the top 'popcorn' is hand rolled fondant with buttercream 'Butter". The little boy this cake was for almost started crying, I was so happy with it. Oh and BTW I ALREADY got yelled at by Sherri about sticking the wires directly in the cakes, I have been using coffee straws since this happened.... (I learn so quick =D) Oh yeah and the reason the sign says Beverly Hills, is because the party was a Beverly Hills Chihuahua Movie theme

Baby Shower Disaster!
This is a baby shower cake that I made for a friend, she INSISTED that I use a jelly fruit filling on the botton tier, even though I told her I had never used them before and didnt want to chance it on such a big cake... well it started sagging and I had to slap a big ugly piece of fondant on the front because it was busting out! I tried to cover it with some ribbon roses and a little swirl....

Chris's Fish Cake
Here is a close up view of my nephew Chris's fish cake that I made a few weeks ago. I got the design off of a few I seen here that I collaborated. The inside is an Almond Joy Cake. (coconut cake with a thin layer of chocolate ganache, layer of slivered almonds, layer of shredded coconut, another thin layer of ganache and coconut cake) This cake was sooooo delicious!!!! Thanks everyone on CC and my amazing Wilton instructor Sherri, you guys have helped me make better and better cakes!!

My Very First Cake Ever
This is the cake that started it all... I made this for my nephew Jay's birthday - who happens to LOVE baseball. I caught the cake-making bug once this was done... notice the tiny little players on the fiels? I wish I would have known about buttercream back then, i used nothing but grocery store cake mix and frosting, so its not smooth AT ALL

Carlos's Marylin Cake
This is a Marylin Monroe cake that I hand painted for my uncle's birthday. He loves her so i thought it would be fitting to make this for him. I hand made the popcorns out of fondant and painted them as well. *** The face is from a black and white picture I found on the internet, I just tried to replicate it on the fondant with black gel coloring. It took about an hour to get just right :)

Christmas 2009
I got this idea to make an igloo cake with little fondant penguins, which it turned out great, but took allloooooooong time to do. everyone loved it though, and as the night wore on, the penguins kept getting kidnapped by the kids, when it was time to cut the cake there were only five left!
