First time doing a cupcake tier, first time covering a cake with fondant decorations, second time using the Vivia smoothing method for the buttercream on the cake, and the first time a big, ambitious project didn't blow up in my face! I still have a lot of learning to do but overall I am very pleased with how it turned out. I used the "mini round" tier from www.cupcaketree.com and wrapped it in approximately 18ft of ribbon. I believe I was able to fit 7 dozen cupcakes on there, plus the 6-inch cake topper.

These were for my husband's grandmother on her 80th birthday. Yes, her birthday was 7/7/1929 which is also BINGO! :) Pardon the sloppy icing, it was hot as blazes in my kitchen that day. All designs were drawn on. Sugar cookies with a glace icing.
6in carrot cake with cream cheese icing. This is my first cake in years, I didn't realize how rusty I was! I had a heck of a time with the icing going soft on me but I still had fun.
