I had a hard time trying to decide how to do something with a quilt, which was what was requested. It was for a 26th birthday and everything else with quilts seemed either grandmothery or babyish. It went over well so I was glad it was a success.
My daughter had a party with kids, and a party with family, so for the first party we just had the cupcakes, and then I put the cake onto another tier for the 2nd party. Boots took me 2 tries, before I was happy with how he looked.

Buttercream with MMF Curious George. I kept thinking that something didn't look right, and then 5 minutes after the cake had been picked up my kids were watching Curious George, and I realized that his ear should've been the lighter brown.
I made this for my son's 1st birthday. Buttercream (which I wish was a lot more smooth) with fondant decorations. This was my first time trying to mould something with fondant and I really enjoyed it.
