I made this cake for my nephew's birthday, having to first acquaint myself with the infamous Mr. Squarepants! (as I don't have any children yet I was not familiar with him,and on asking my sister what her son was "into" the reply came "Who lives in a pineapple under the sea....." to which I gave her the most curious look of total bewilderment!)
This was my first attempt ever at cake making and decorating, brought on by my mother's 60th birthday! I enjoyed learning how to decorate and enjoyed the research part prior to doing anything! The lillies are make from very thin icing paste and were made about a week in advance.
