This was a cake I made for a purse and shoe fanatic. I was given the directions to make it pink and purple with back and white accents and to have jewelry, shoes and a purse on it. It was dark chocolate fudge cake with raspberry and cream cheese filling, and was iced with whipped cream. All of the decorations were made of mmf. The purse is an 8in round that I cut in half filled and stood on the flat side, then iced and covered in mmf. This was my first attempt at the "shoe" ...Boy, it was a lot of work! Thanks to cc users for the shoe template and masses of inspiration!
This is an Mp3 player cake I made for a teenager's birthday. I stacked and filled 2 or 3 9x13 cakes, iced them in whipped cream and added the mmf decorations. The "earbuds" are cupcakes covered in fondant.
This was a very simple volcano cake done for a friend on a budget. I used the wilton doll cake mold and one 8 or 9 inch round filled and stacked frosted with buttercream and fondant. I used the grass tip around the cake and placed dinosaurs that we bought at the dollar store around the cake. Very simple and very cheap! Turned out really cute.
This is a birthday cake I did for my niece. She wanted a pink wedding cake with herself and all of her pets on it. I made the girl and all of the dogs (and one bunny) out of mmf and hand painted them w/gel food color. The cake was red velvet w/cream cheese filling and was iced with whipped cream. The flowers and swirls are done with buttercream and mmf. She loved it and recognized every one of her pets.

This was a last minute cake for a friend whose daughters played volleyball. She wanted something simple and the colors to match the school colors. The girls were surprised and happy with the cake!
This was my daughter's birthday cake. She's a very girlie girl so her cake had to be pink and frilly. All of the ruffles and bows are mmf, the top tier is covered in mmf, but the roses are butter cream. Strawberry cake with strawberry cream filling, buttercream icing and mmf. I made this cake for a Harry Potter fan; it was a surprise from her husband and she loved it! It was a little tricky but I really like the way it turned out. I filled and stacked a 10in. 9in. 8in. and 2-6in. cakes and a large cupcake put them in the fridge for a couple hrs, then I carved out the shape, iced the whole thing and used an ice cream cone for the very top. I covered it all in mmf and hand painted the details w/gel food color. Chocolate fudge cake with choc filling and icing, mmf decoration.

Birthday Cake for an Incredible Hulk themed birthday. This was the first time I used edible paper...not sure if I will use it again, but I liked the end result here. Mmf was used for Hulk's fingers and for the bricks. Marble cake with choc fudge filling, butter cream icing and mmf decorations.
This was a cake I made for a fan of the band KISS. He loved it and everyone got a big laugh out of the tongue! I warned them about the black icing, but they still wanted it...they had a lot of fun seeing all of the party guests with black teeth and lips. :) Yellow cake with vanilla cream filling and better-cream brand icing. This is a cake for a 2 peas in the pod themed baby shower. 3 -12 inch layers and 3 -9 inch layers of white cake with raspberry filling. Cream cheese butter cream icing covered with mmf. All decorations are mmf with a healthy dose of pearl dust for shimmer and shine. The purchaser was so excited she gave an extra $20. and told me I needed to raise my prices. :) Thanks to all of the cc pics for the inspiration!
I made this for a 14 year olds birthday party. She's a BIG twilight fan and really loved it!Marble cake with chocolate fudge filling. Iced in buttercream and lots of fondant decorations. I made the apple out of rice crispie and marshmellow treats, then I covered it with fondant and hand painted the red color. Both chess pieces are fondant, as well as the ribbon, the black checker squares and the flower...all hand painted with gel food color.
