This is one of my first fondant cakes and I'll be darned if I can get the corners right since...friend's husband loves dinosaurs, hence the theme.
This is an all BC cake. I whipped the BC thinking that was the best method but not when combing the sides...tons of air bubbles. He loved it though. That's all that matters.
I saw a similar cake while looking at different web sites. A friend was turning 47. Second picture has the age scribbled out. Used real hooks, etc on gumpaste bra as well as brand ticket. I didn't wait long enough for the gumpaste to dry. The day after the party, the cup size had flattened from a C to an A. Very funny!
Fondant covered cake for a friend moving to Paris. Tower in royal icing. The sides had gumpaste plaques with "important" French words.
This was one of the first cakes I made....all fondant over bowl cake and sheet cake. Took 5 hours to color the fondant by hand...never again! Hope it brings a smile. I made it for a friend's "bar christening" party. He built himself a full bar.
