Fondant covered with fondant bacon, cheese and pickles on the side because my husband always gives me the ones from his burgers. Three cake layers- used yellow cake for buns and chocolate for burger. Buttercream "ketchup"only because I made the cake the way my husband likes his real burgers. Had just watched an episode of Ace of Cakes where Duff said they used Crisco mixed into the fondant to give it that realistic shiny look. This was one of my favorites and I had a blast making it- I can't always say that!
My 3 sons- 6,5 and 2 - at the time helped make an extra special cake for their Gammy's birthday. I used a round cake and shaped it into a heart and did a standard buttercream frosting. The boys did all the hard work and Gammy loved it!

Buttercream Cross with Larry and Bob from Veggie Tales in 3D fondant. Thank you for teachers at Christian Nursery school. Cross was sheet cake, cut and stacked. Bob, the Tomato was made from a stainless steel mixing bowl and Larry the Cucumber was made from a standard loaf pan.

2 tier buttercream frosted cake. Frosted, then sprayed with pink and purple for swirled look. Fondant stars and music notes on bamboo skewers that were colored with gel colorant. Hannah Montana cupcake picks, candle and microphone used as accents.
