This was my first topsy turvy cake, very complicated to make, huge cake. Chocolate, and yellow cake inside with buttercream icing. this cake had to travel from Atlanta, GA to Orlando, FL about 6 hours, I was on pins and needles with my emergency cake kit on hand.

Sculpted yello wcake, buttercream filling and fondant icing. Glass stem is a wooden rod wrapped in fondant, and the glass base is a piece cake board wrapped in fondant. The color is painted on from gray powdered color.

Yellow cake minnie mouse, I used a 12" pan for the face and two 6" pans for ears, each about 2 1/2 layers high. It was a lot of cake, I had to put the cake on a full sheet board.

This one was a real challenge since the cream cheese icing gets soft really quickly. the most time consuming part with this cake was making all of the buttons. I made the display panel from rice crispies to add stability and avoid any disasters.
