(Slightly Unfinished) Father's Day Cake
Planned on working on this a bit more before the "big day" but ran out of time (i.e. there are no markings on the tap measure, wanted to make a screw driver, put some logo on the tape measure, etc.... "Duct tape" is on there though, LOL). Buttercream icing with MMF accents. The hammer-thing is actually a gift card to Lowes I put on it.

Strawberry Cake
My mom - who isn't a cake fanatic like I am sure everyone who is on this website it - signed up to bring a cake to our church's annual strawberry festival. (She planned on making a 9x13, canned frosting and leaving it in the pan to serve.) YUCK! I hate that!! SO I took it upon myself to make a strawberry cake to be proud to serve. Strawberry-flavored cake with BC icing.

Graduation Cookies
Cookies for my neighbor's graduation.... I made 7 dozen of these, I charged $50... do you think I should have charged more? Less? This was my first time making cookies to sell, first time using this cookie recipe and the first time I have used royal icing. - I don't really like the outline of the cookies, I am going to try to make them without one next time. THESE TOOK ME FOREVER... at least 8+ hours from start to finish. Hopefully it will get faster with practice!!!!

Sheriff Badge Cake
I had a tough time deciding which category to put this in. Technically it is a retirement cake but the last retirement cake I made, was not viewed much so I am taking a chance with putting it in here. I guess it can be used if a father/husband/brother, etc. in your life is a cop. Buttercream icing, chocolate and white checkerboard cake.

Curious George Retirement
I was requested to make a retirement cake for two police investigators... one of which was a fire investigator and the other, they call a monkey (yeah, must be some inside joke there.) Anyways, this was my idea... having Curious George with a match which caught the sides of the cake on fire. :)

Brown And White W/ Kitty Cats
This is my first "bigger" cake. Prior to this, I only had done 9 inch cakes. The bottom is 12 inch and the top is 9 inch. PLUS, it's my first real tiered cake (compete with wooden dowel supports). It took me way longer than I expected but I think it turned out nice. Bottom layer is chocolate fudge cake with chocolate buttercream and the top is white cake with buttercream icing.

Juicy Couture
I love wild, bold colors on a cake and very hip, trendy designs (NOT the usual white supermarket cake, infact very OPPOSITE of one of those)... so, since I had nothing to do today, I wanted to make a fun cake... this Juicy Couture cake. Coconut cake with coconut buttercream. Yummy. My mouth was watering while I made it but now I am not sure if I want to cut it and eat it. Haha.
