This cake was made for my nephew's 1st Birthday. His mom wanted a prince theme so I came up with the frog prince thanks to others from CC. I made a simple round smash cake with a crown on it that had a #1 on the crown. The cake was simple and that's what the mom wanted.
My son wanted this cake for his birthday. I made two 12 x 18 cakes stacked. Molded a volcano and rocks out of rice crispy treats. The lava is made out of buttercream with pieces of chocolate broken up. I carved a hole down in the center of the volcano and placed a glass inside. Before cutting the cake I placed dry ice in the cup to make the volcano smoke. All the kids loved it!
This cake is a 12 x 18 WASC cake. Covered with ChocoPan fondant. The decorations are made with fondant with tylose added. This was for my mother in law who retired after 22 years of teaching.

I made this for my friend's daughter what turned one. Her bedroom is done in ladybugs and black and white polka dots. My friend wanted me to make a cake that resembled her room. I drew up a sketch and this is the cake I made. She absolutely loved it!
This cake is the first time I decorated using buttercream. I thought I would try the Viva paper towel method. After watching some Youtube videos to figure it out I thought I would give it a shot. The cake was cute but I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the bulge. And the icing seemed to sag at the bottom. Don't know what I did wrong. Any advice?????

This cake was the first one I ever made. I wasn't sure what to expect with the fondant but it was pretty easy except for the bow (as you can see it fell apart)!
This is my third fondant cake. I really liked how it turned out except I wanted to make a dead tree to put next to the tombstone and couldn't figure out how to do it! Oh well, the cake still turned out cute for a newbie!
I just started making cakes in September 2008. I thought I would try to work with fondant to see how easy it was so I could make my son's birthday cake (3D R2D2) in March 2009. Anyway, this barnyard cake is the second fondant cake I made. I quickly found that I love to do this and my husband says I have a natural talent for it.
