model made from gumpaste, had a bit of trouble getting him to stay upright - I think it was probably because I didn't let him dry long enough at each stage of making him and he was quite heavy. propped him up with bits of icing. customer was happy anyway! tfl
this was for my daughter, for some reason she wanted hello kitty on a bike! - this is what I came up with.
this was made for an (ultra-orthodox) boy for his bar-mitzva. When the boy turns 13 they start to wear these fedora type black hats as a sign that they have now reached manhood! the crown of the hat is carved chocolate cake and the rest is made from gumpaste.

This is for my friend's sis who is turning 30, she's always on the phone and wore a big peacock feather in her hair for her bro's wedding that everyone still teases her about! model and accents from gumpaste.
These are just soooo cool to make!!! I can't wait to do another one. I think this one could have done with a few more cupcakes but these were all I'd made. Used mini choc cupcakes with choc buttercream icing. had to use a florists oasis as I couldn't get a polystyrine dome/ball
engagement ring in gift box. I made the lid of the box out of cake with skewers through it. this was a bit of a mistake as I had a hard time getting it to stay upright as is was really soft. will know to use polystyrine next time!! gumpaste bow and ring. as usual many many thanks to fellow cc'ers for the inspiration!

This cake is a replica of a brides old bedroom. Her sister gave me pics and I copied it as best as I could. The bed is cake the rest is fondant and gumpaste. The walls are made from cake drums nailed into each other after they were decorated. Thanks to saracupcake for her advice!
