Mardi Gras Cake
This cake I made for 150 people at our annual hail and farewell party. The cake is half white and half chocolate. The cake is frosted in decorators white frosting and then I painted on it with yellow and green food coloring. The mask picture is done with tiny stars in royal icing and the masks are made of gum paste painted with food coloring and edible glitter. The little faces in the bottom corners are made of fondant and hand painted to look like beads I have on my real mardi gras beads.

Chicks Alive Breast Cancer Support Group Cake
I did this cake for my Mom's Breast Cancer Support Group. Their nickname is Chicks Alive. It is a triple chocolate cake (all women love chocolate), covered in fondant. The roses are all done in gum paste (the pink one's represent those still fighting, the yellow one's in remembrance of those that lost their fight). The leaves are royal icing. The letters are done in fondant and highlighted with piping gel. The board is covered in breast cancer support material.

Wall-E
My grandson brought a small toy of WALL-E to my house and asked if I could please make him into a birthday cake. I had nightmares! Although I really don't want anyone to see this cake, my 4 year old grandson loves it. Never again will I try something like this. I just don't have the construction mindset to work with PVC pipe.

Wedding Anniversary/valentine's Day Cake
This cake was made for a friend at work. February 13th is her wedding anniversary and of course Feburary 14th is Valentine's Day. The candies are handmade (cherry cordial, caramel and raspberry cream). The only things there are not edible is the cake board, the ruffle around the bottom layer and the roses (gum paste).

Super Bowl Cake
The sheet cake is marbled (white and chocolate) and the football is triple fudge chocolate. I made the emblems by hand........they are not edible. There was supposed to be goal posts on each end, but I was involved in a serious accident during the day of the night I had to finish it and was unable to do the goal posts. The person who ordered the cake loved it anyway.
