Sweet Sixteen
This cake was for my first paying customer. I had a lot of fun figuring out how to make the topper she wanted. I ended up blowing up a nice font in Word then outlining in r/i and filling with color flow. I only broke a few of them. LOL! I also dusted them with shimmer dust for sparkle. Lettering is still a challenge for me, and so, apparently is enlarging text to the same size! There are some things I will do differently next time, but the birthday girl and her mother seemed happy with it...so I guess I won't complain!

Rocket Cake
This was a cake I found in a book my MIL gave to me-Decorating Cakes for Children's Parties by Polly Pinder. My 9yo son fell in love w/it. It was a bit of a challenge converting the English idioms to, well, english, but I managed to understand enough to get started. Who knew you could bake a cake in an empty Yam can??!! Still, I had a great time making it, although my family thought I was nuts. After 3 days of work, we never did eat it because no one had the heart to cut it! (lol!)
