Wine And Cheese Basket
for my DH's aunt's 50th birthday. she loves wine and decided it was okay to cheat on her diet for one day so i could make her a proper cake! so thankful that DH is artsy.. he did a great job on the wine label! only thing i would have done differently is make the cake square. it is MUCH harder than it looks to put those flat pickets on a round cake!

Fire Truck Birthday Cake
for a 4-year-old's birthday... his only requests were that the truck have "a ladder with a bucket". too bad mother nature had other plans and humidity meant that nothing i made the ladder out of (fondant, chocolate, royal) would set. it resulted in a 10 pm run to the toy store, but the cake got delivered as promised, and it was delicious! also learned my lesson on pricing 3D cakes! gotta love those "learning experiences"!

Littlest Pet Shop Birthday
For my stepdaughter's 6th birthday. She picked out which animal she wanted and I created my first FBCT out of it! I also made mini cupcakes with the leftover batter and put the pink pawprints on them (no pictures of those... silly me!) Quarter sheet with yellow cake iced and decorated in BC.

Snowman Head Cake
This was actually for my parents' anniversary, but I think it's more appropriate with the winter/christmas cakes! My mom has been making and painting ornaments for years. Using the Wilton snowman head pan I created a replica of one of her favorites from over the years. I should have drawn the border for the plaid before I started piping it so it would be straight, but I'm so happy with how the pattern turned out that it doesn't bother me too much! This is plain yellow cake iced and decorated with BC!
