This was for a 1st birthday for the grandson of a friend. Cake is white chocolate and marbled with dutch chocolate. All three filled with white chocolate buttercream. Iced with buttercream with both fondant and buttercream decorations. Mickey and Pluto are made with the 1972 Wilton 3D molds. The molds were originally made for royal icing. These were done with 50/50 and handpainted. Thanks for looking!

Marilyn Monroe
This cake was for a retro 50's addict and Marilyn Monroe fan. She's also a major chocoholic. So it's two 9 x 13 layers of dutch chocolate cake with french vanilla filling and covered with dutch chocolate buttercream icing tinted black. The Marilyn image is a FBCT. After it was transferred to the cake I painted the very light gray areas for a little extra shading. Thanks for looking!

Maxine Cookie
I did this 8 x 10 sugar cookie last night for my 89 year old neighbor who is coming home from the hospital today. She is the live version of Maxine (also her nickname). She loves sugar cookies and BC, so this one is done with a FBCT...the first one I have done and also the first large cookie I have done. I have a genetic tremor so I'm horrible at lettering. Next time the letters will definitely be done differently! I'd appreciate any tips, and thanks for looking!

Twins Birthday Cake
This was a birthday cake for identical twin sisters with very distinct personalities. About the only thing they agreed on was that they wanted pastel colors and their dogs had to be on the cake. So we ended up with a funky pastel cake with with a Bull Mastiff and a Black Lab on top. Cake is WASC with all fondant decorations. Thanks for looking.

Happy Turkey Day!
A friend and I did this cake for her to take to her family Thanksgiving. While placing the top layer, it cracked in 4 places so we did a flip-flop and put the broken layer on the bottom where it just kept spreading. Timewise, baking another layer was not an option so into the fridge it went to settle and do what it would. She had wanted this beautifully smooth fondant cake and ended up with a sculpted tree trunk. She said everyone loved it, so all's well that ends well.

The frogs and fairy are 50/50 and the flowers are gumpaste. The green land is a batch of Rice Krispie treats. The tree stump and the landscape board are covered entirely with beige fondant, sculpted, and then handpainted. Special thanks for the fairy tutorial. It was a big help.

This was a halloween birthday cake. The two bases (10 inch & 12 in rounds) are covered in double chocolate buttercream. All is edible except for the moon and the armature for the spooky tree. The gravestones, wagon, skulls, bones & ghosts are gumpaste. The house is made of seven layers of cake, sealed with vanilla buttercream and the clapboard and shingles are fondant along with the rocks. The cake board is covered with rolled fondant and hand painted with thinned royal icing.
