This cake is chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream icing. The pirate is chocolate cake with fondant face, eyes, patch, mouth, mustache, gotee and dots on bandana. The bandana is rolled buttercream. The sword, chest , coins and ear ring are plastic.
I saw this cake on CC. I wanted to make it for my cousin, but, didn't have the pan..so I improvised (as most of us cake decorators do) and used the easter egg pan for the belly, and soccer ball ban for the boobs, (I just cut them down some) The cake is vanilla, with homemade mmfondant. Flowers are buttercream...it was a show stopper...and now I have another order! yea!
This is the second wedding cake with gumpaste flowers, but the third actual wedding cake! This cake has buttercream icing, bottom and top layers are vanilla, middle layer is carrot...she didn't want the cream cheese icing...turned out nicely! I enjoy this so much!
Cake is vanilla inside, caramel iced outside...caramel between the layers. As you see he is a Florida State Seminole Fan! (She had a FS garter and they played the FSU chant when he took it off! lol! My first square cake, actually my second wedding cake, with homemade Marshmallow Fondant with buttercreme on the layers.... Inside is the funfetti cake...yep from scratch! I did it, thanks to your help! First time making gumpaste flowers...all kinds, they evolved as I practiced! They were thrilled with the cake, actually so was I!
