I made this last night to take to church with us today to celebrate Easter. Its red velvet with strawberry cream filling, covered and detailed in mm fondant.
Made this for my son's 2nd birthday (my husband received honorary mention since his birthday is 2 days after.) It is from the English cartoon "In the Night Garden" which my son is absolutely in love with. I came up with the idea directly from one specific episode where Iggle Piggle takes a nap in Upsie Dasiy's bed. All is edible- mm fondant, with the exception of the balloons.
My spin on Wilton Class 2 final cake. I made the handle out of royal icing. I omited the birds. I made robins. They turned out perfect, but I decided not to add them to a flower basket (I also added a few lillies and luster dusted the roses to give them a slightly different color from the mums.) Green Marble cake with Nutella filling (boy, what a mess).
This cake is for a birthday party at a roller rink. The birthday girl wanted a Christmas themed cake since her birthday is in December. All figures and tree decorations are made from mm Fondant (mint flavor). The cake is dark chocolate with green butter cream filling and carved into a tree shape. This was my first attempt at fondant figures.
