made for my grandmas 80th. sweet peas, ivy and butterflys made from gumpaste, cake covered in royal. first time using the crimpers, and i loved it!
i had this one in my head for so long! used the bear pan and grass tip for cookie monster. the base is a giant cake with cookie dough truffle filling (adapted from a recipe on the food network site). fondant heart cookies for the valentines day!
a 7 inch square (i think) carved to a wine bottle shape. wolf bass eagle done in marzipan with black fondant. regulr victoria sponge, traditional bc and bought fondant.

Petit fours, which kind of turned into mini cake sizes. Used a maderia sponge, which I liked working with. Covered in poured fondant (maybe should have been thicker?), with gumpaste flowers.
based on the amazing, a bit of a cult in the uk. 6 inch cakes for the body, rice krispies for the head (which eventually fell off... the bought ones are too soft). done for my bf and he absoultely loved it.
cake was done in a 6inch round and bowl, the head and limbs were RKT, and face is fondant.
a selection of cupcakes, mango victoria sponge, mango glace icing. i dont really like mangos, i just wanted to try it. not bad! so some with sugar, silver balls, ribbon rose, flowers.
a losse interpretation for a friends birthday. 6 inch, 8 inch and 12 by 9 inch victoria sponges with vanilla bc, covered in fonant. towers are cardboard tubes, and cardboard cones. the worlds quickest figure too!
inspiration from all over for this one. it was chaos, a new recipe failed, so i ended up with minimal time to decorate, and stack my first stacked and topsy cake. i was happy how it came out given the challenges! tasted great too. chocolate sponge and chocolate bc on the bottom, orange sponge and orange indydebi's bc on top, gumpaste flowers.
mostly maderia sponge, with a little victoria sponge for the shape! indydebi's bc inside, and fondant to decorate. looks like my brothers car, it was for his birthday. silver lustre dust for the accents and windows.
a carole deacon cake. chocolate victoria sponge and chocolate bc, fondant covered with fondant accents, but the cat is marzipan. i was so happy, it actually turne out like i hoped!
carved from victoria sponge, all cake, with fondant, dusted in pearl (doesnt show up so well, but was the pefect finishing touch!). egg are creme eggs covered in fondant. added a pink version too.
she wanted chocolate, pink, and blue. chocolate victoria sponge, with chocolate bc, fondant accents, and silver dagrees. the 13 is made from gumpaste, held with cocktail sticks.

collette peters style cake. victoria sponge, with vanilla bc, covered in fondant. painted the fondant with lustre dust/ vodka, and ribbon roses sitting on a ball of fondant. the mum was impressed, i was pretty happy too.
chef stefs red velvet cake, and frankyolas (pink) cream cheese frosting, with gumpaste/fondant mix accents, brushed with petal/ lustre dust mix. collette petes inspired, was good fun to do!

Based on a peggy porschen cake, with ideas from CC! 4inch victoria sponge, filled with rasberry jam and vanilla buttercream, covered in fondant and fondant flowers. less than perfect matching up of the stripes, but it was freehand (any way to do it better?). Was really happy with it, and my grandma loved it.
oreo filled chocolate cupcakes and victoria sponge cupcakes. all with piped buttercream, some with chocolate stars (store bought). homemade topper of fondant and 24gage wire. tasted awesome!
