the ariel standing up on the cake is a candy plaque. the cake was 3 layers - caramel, white and chocolate. the sand is graham crackers, the seashells are candy, the fish are cookies and the seaweed, coral and airbubbles are royal icing. ea was most happy with her cake - she even helped put some of the coral on the cake.
my first attempt at a hat box cake (i haven't taken out the tissue from the purple fondant folds). bottom layer is golden vanilla cake w/ pineapple filline; top is white cake; top of hat box is rice krispie treats.
