Flag Cake
I had some extra red and blue fondant that I didn't want to go to waste, so I thought I would attempt this cake. Thank you, CC friends, for the idea! I couldn't figure out how to keep the stripes together, while making both sides striped... so I modified it a little to try to hide my faults. TFL

Strawberry Festival 2010
I made this cake to donate to our local town festival. It was my very 1st Topsy Turvy and I wish I could say I learned a lot from it - but what I really learned is what questions I have to try to answer next time. In any event - it was great working with such bright colors for such a fun Summertime event! TFL

Bouquets I Made For My Neices To Give To Their Teachers
This was only m y second attempt at cookie bouquets as I am more interested in cake making/ decorating. I am learning a lot and they were pretty fun to make. I was just so hopeful the girls would enjoy giving them to their teachers on the last day of school...

House Warming Cookie Bouquet
This is my very 1st cookie bouquet I ever made. I learned a lot from it & cannot wait for my next one. This was a gift for some special friends that recently moved into the area and it was accompanied with a gift certificate for a local nursery so that they could start landscaping their new home.

Piece Of Cake
I made this for my nieces 7th birthday party. Unfortunately, I was not able to take a final picture of the assembled cake... but for traveling sake, I kept it this way to get it there in all one piece. Here is a fondant candle, and the sm piece of cake went right on top of the 2nd tier. The cake was chocolate with strawberry icing, as per the request of the birthday girl!

Happy Birthday To My Harley Lovin' Hubby
On the right front and back corners you can see how my 15 month old son managed to make his mark on Daddy's birthday cake! Here I used 3 colors of fondant and silver M&M's to reselmble the grommets often seen on Harley accessories. The cake was Hershey's chocolate with Reese's PB buttercream icing... mmmmm

Summer Time!
Still learning all the ins and outs about fondant (Cake #2 using fondant, so I am still a newbie!). I used Jell-O for the water and fondant for everything else! It is all edible and the kids LOVED it! I enjoyed making the people and giving them personalities with their faces and postures!
