Wilton Level One - Winnie The Pooh
Finally decided to take some cake decorating courses to get the basics and some advanced instructions. This is the first week of Wilton Level One all in BC. I got the idea of a Pooh Bear peeking over the side from fellow CCer lisa_mae but set him too high on the cake when I started ... so I finished as much of his face as I could. When I got home from class I re-adjusted the design and added in the brick wall (2nd picture). What do you think - which is better?

Blue And White Fondant Covered Cupcakes
This order was for monochrome cupcakes - the customer didn't want all of them to match. So I took some leftover blue MMF and white BC and tried out a bunch of new things and designs. I had a blast! I like the look of how some turned out better than others but all together on the platter they still looked very pretty.

Tall Cupcakes
I used the "tall cupcake" method of stacking and filling three chocolate cupcakes then wrapping them in blue fondant. Wrapped one in vellum and ribbon, accentuated by a feather. Filled the top with fancy shredded coconut and blue sugar crystals. The other just with a strip of printed vellum and ribbon. Much trickier to do then I thought it would be :)

Birthday Present
This was the first attempt at a birthday present cake. Decided to use SMBC instead of covering in fondant and next time I think I would stick to the fondant! Not entirely happy with how this turned out but I rushed it and know what not to do next time - definitely give more time to finish and work on the fondant bow. Cake was delicious butterscotch WASC and MMF fondant used for ribbon and bow
