Buttercream with royal icing flowers that I purchased from the cake decorating store.
This was a special request that took some research. Each bow on the cake sides has a charm attached to it that was selected for a specific bridesmaid. At the luncheon where this was served, each bridesmaid pulled out her specific charm. (I put very small initials on the ends of the bows so that each bridesmaid pulled out the appropriate charm.)

Yellow cake with almond buttercream icing and marzipan gravestones. The customer wanted almond--so almond he got. The marzipan stones needed to be supported by toothpicks, but they didn't detract from the cake.
