Buttercream icing covered with Pastel M&M's .......My daughter's favorite. I used a round cake pan and cut it in half first - then cut out the notches and flipped them outwards to make the butterfly shape.
Simple to make - Butter flavored Royal Icing. I used the Viva Papertowl trick (THAT IS A FABULOUS TECHNIQUE !!! - THANK YOU CAKE CENTRAL FOR INTRODUCING THAT ONE !!!!! ) I wish the bow would have been made out of fondant, but - quite frankly -- i need lots more practice (hee hee)
This was my first cake using fondant.... I was scared to death. The Cake was made with buttercream and the animal print , monogram, and partial bow were fondant. All I know - is -- I'm going to need ALOT more Practice using the fondant.
