Mary Jane Template
Hi, guys! Finally -- here's the template for the Mary Janes. I've added some pics of the process, and I'm adding the written instructions as a separate "template." If you need any help with these, just PM me and I'll try to help. Have a safe and happy weekend, and TFL! :) P.S. We tried to add the link here that would go directly to the instructions in the forum section, but that didn't work. However, if you do a regular Google search (not advanced), using "Instructions for Mary Jane template" you should be directed to the instructions in the "Cake Decorating" section of the forums. HTH and thanks for your patience.

Baby Shower - Flower Power
Here's the cake that went with the shoes. :) My first cake in five months (boy, did I forget a LOT!). Of course, when they gave me the photos of the baby quilt, I thought, "There goes my resolution for 'less is more' this year." LOL. Design of flowers and cake based on three of the quilt squares. The separators were fashioned to resemble the edging on the quilt. Although EVERYTHING went wrong on the day of delivery, the cake did get delivered in one piece and they liked it, and that's what counts! TFL!

Baby Shoes
Made three pairs of baby shoes (for friend to choose from) for a baby shower cake. Started with cutters and the excellent instructions for baby booties from Jennifer Dontz's December '09 newsletter. That gave me the confidence to try stellastarchild's baby Converse, and then I made a template for the Mary Janes, which is what they chose for the cake. But they wanted a "hotter" color, so I redid them (last photo), but they're shown on here w/out their sparkly polka dots. TFL! :)

Christmas Cookies -- Mittens And Hats
Took my first cookie decorating class this week, so I thought I'd try out my new cookie cutters. Boy, I have a renewed and deepened appreciation for all of you who decorate cookies! (These little guys took a LOT of time!) Used the NFSC recipe here on CC (it's wonderful!) and Antonia74 RI. The guys I made these for loved them. TFL and Happy Holidays! :)

Katie's Cake
This was a 12-inch square base topped with 10-inch and 7-inch rounds. First time doing a 3-tier stacked cake, which had to be assembled on location. VERY nervous and made a few smooshes in BC. Top bow is fashioned after Toba Garrett's bow in "The Well-Decorated Cake." Cupcake motif was to tie into invitations sent. All BC icing w/fondant details. Lots of color and love in this cake for a VERY special two-year-old. TFL.
