This is my first attempt at a cake like this. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. I also posted a picture of what it looked like before I iced it so you can see how I put it together. I think I did a pretty good job excluding the face. I can draw it no problem on a piece of paper but I still haven't mastered the art of piping faces lol. P.S. - I know that 3 isn't Thomas' number however it was the little boy's 3rd birthday :D
I made this for my stepfather's 51st birthday. He loves playing chess so I thought it was pretty appropriate. Everything is edible including the chess pieces. I made them out of candy molds.

This is my second fondant cake and having only decorated seven cakes so far, this was by far, my favorite. I made this for my niece's baby shower. Her baby bedding was moon and stars.
I made this cake for a friend's son. This is my 6th cake. He absolutely loved it so I was pleased. The logos are made from fondant which I'm still learning to work with. Don't mind the right side, I know it is a little messed up looking. I hadn't changed out of my pj's yet, my son had just knocked over the christmas tree and I needed to be at the party in less than an hour. Needless to say, I had to rush to finish it.
I made this for my daughter's 6th birthday. It is my 5th cake that I've decorated. It wasn't perfect but my daughter absolutely loved it!
This was the very first cake I ever decorated. Sorry for the quality of the pictures, they are the only ones I have. The cake was melting and doesn't look the greatest but it definitely tasted good. I don't think I did too bad for my first cake.
