Rehearsal Cake
Son's wedding rehearsal. This is the largest cake I have ever done and ever made a cake for a crowd !! It's a champagne cake frosted with buttercreme. I put the flowers around the bottomplate, and then wanted to drape fondant on the ends. After I had finished it....of course, I found a how to article on the draping of fondant. I then put items I had made around it, 2 ink bottles, with feather quills, a ring box, and flowers. Put Penguins on top with feather quill and rose petals.

Easter Cake
I posted this into the Easter cakes, but actually it was taken to someone's house who had a death in the family. It should have went into the Disaster cake file though!! This was my first carved cake, and I was so dissapointed in the way it turned out. The cake was a WASC and I used buttercreme frosting. I also used White Modeling chocolate for the roses and Lillies. Everyone thought it looked very nice, but I was still down about it. I do think next time I could do better. Anyway, I am open to comments, so feel free!!! Thanks

Christmas Birthday.
My DIL and SIster both have b-day's close to X-mas. I did them a cake together. Cake is frosted in BC, and I made them a snowy scene with penguins and polar bears in the woods watching the angel sing. The bears, trees, snowmen, and penguins were all made by hand, using fondant. This was my 4th attempt making my decorations without a mold.

Harry Potter
My mother had gotten " hooked " on the Harry Potter Books that my niece begged her to read. I made her a Harry Potter Birthday cake. The cake was frosted with Buttercream, but the decorations were done in Fondant. I handmade the broom, the hat, stars, Harry's septor, and the rest of them. This was my first time doing all the decorations by hand....and not using a mold...
