For my daughter's 5th birthday cake, she requested a field of unicorns (with a Mommy and a baby). The cake is rainbow swirl, with strawberry buttercream under the MM fondant covering. The unicorns are gum paste, with a little fondant mixed in, and the flowers are gum paste.
This is a vanilla cake with whipped strawberry filling. It is covered in vanilla icing, not fondant as the woman I made it for doesn't like the taste of fondant!!
