Wipeout! Boy 5Th Birthday Cake
Vanilla cake (swirled with blue), buttercream green frosting, lining of the water is white frosting to make the raspberry jello pools stand out, mmf balls and figures, graham cracker structures with mmf coverings, and giant pretzels covered in mmf for the sign and the sweeper arm. Sucker punch made out of graham crackers, cut out holes from mmf, and frosting-glued red hots. My son LOVED it!

Happy Birthday Dora The Explora!
This is following a description video given by nickjr.com - melted chocolate hair traced off of an outline online, cooled and placed on white cupcakes with tinted buttercream. Eyes are white buttercream, chocolate buttercream with a chocolate chip center and a white buttercream dot. Mouth is hardened (with lots of powdered sugar) red frosting (playdoh-ish) rolled out, cut into triangles, and traced with chocolate buttercream. Taking this to a potluck tomorrow. Fun! :)

Party Cakes For Kids To Decorate!
Confetti and Strawberry cakes made special for the birthday girl (6 years old) and three guests (do little brothers count?). I made the flowers early and they got colored writing tubes, candles, sprinkles, etc. A side of chocolate chip mint ice-cream and the kids had a ball! :) Totally worth it!

Cars Lightning Mcqueen Cake 4Th Birthday
MMF on chocolate cake, the tires are double-stacked Oreos with black MMF painted on which makes it look like real tread! LOL I had a good time because I made the cake a week before, froze it, took my time experimenting with the decorative parts (lots of mistakes made but mmf looks just like new when you flip it over!) and found that shiny features of cars like windows and such look really slick when you watercolor with foodcoloring and let it dry for a few days. Needless to say - my kids actually had a blast helping me with it and they are (now) 4 and 5 years old. What fun it is to paint water on a cake to melt the powdered sugar residue? Instant artists!

Thomas The Train 3Rd Birthday Cake For My Son
Green MMF on a two-layer chocolate cake surrounded by confetti cupcakes with blue buttercream. My son absolutely adored it. The train is a toy that made noise when you pushed the top of the coal car - it giggled. It was the version of Thomas huffing and puffing so it looked like he was trying to blow out the candles... funny, huh? The rocks are chocolate and butterscotch chips, fondant over gumdrops, truffles, m&m's, green coconut for grass, brown sugar for dirt/sand, and white goodnplenty's for a picket/rock separation for the track made of Stride gum and black food coloring stripes for the rails.

Princess Tiara Cupcakes
These were in addition to the castle cake and were a perfect distraction while we were cutting the real thing (hard to keep little ones waiting!) Pink buttercream, royal tiara icing with rhinestones, and a candle for each princess. I really liked how this idea turned out in that each little princess got to participate in making a wish (something EVERY kid likes to do... blow out their own candle!) Made for a nice event and good memories. Confetti cake and tin foil liners. Porcelain Cinderella baby.

Princess Castle Cake
Strawberry mmf, royal icing tiara, ice cream cones with large confetti sprinkles, mmf roses, leaves, and accents. The only non-edibles are the rhinestones on the tiara and the paper rainbow. My daughter's 4th birthday party and they were absolutely thrilled! I am so proud as this is only my second attempt at making a cake. The cake itself was 3 layers with white buttercream (choc, confetti cake, choc). Turned out really cute and even delicious!
