I think these are my most favorite of all of the cupcakes I've made. They are french vanilla cupcakes with buttercream icing.
This is my first Wilton class rainbow cake. I admit I spent more time mixing icing colors (a technique our instructor told us about) for neat effects than focusing on the actual rainbow colors. :) I think it turned out pretty and it gave me ideas for future cakes/cupcakes. Just a vanilla cake with buttercream icing.
I made this cake for my Dad's birthday. It was a swan cake pan that I turned into a flamingo, I added the sunglasses, but forgot to give the poor guy legs. :)
I made this cake for my sister for her birthday. Both layers are cherry chip cake with butter cream icing. The stars and strap of the purse are hot pink fondant. I also added a real zipper instead of trying to make one out of fondant.
