Tiers On Vases
This was a challenge. The bride want the cakes to sit on pedestals. I thought that would boring. So, I came up with this. In each of the glass vases there are colored water beads and with the beads there are submergable LED lights that run on batteries. All the flowers are made out of gum paste.

50Th Anniversary Cake
The top two tiers of this cake are real cake and the bottom tier is a dummy cake. We were going for the grand look without a lot of "real" cake to waste. The cake was covered with MMF, diamond pattern, and I inserted gold dragee at each crossing. The trim I painted with gold glaze and the lilies and daisies are made from gum paste. Which I airbrushed the lilies to give a touch of color for a natural look.

This Bud Is For You
Oh, I loved doing this cake....I am so proud of it. The beer bottles are made of sugar, like the stuff you would use to make suckers. I flavored them root beer for fun. The labels for the bottle are printed onto edible paper with edible ink. The cake is at the base, covered with the wooden plankets which are made from gum paste and airbrushed. The ice chips, I used sugar because of cost didn't want to use the isomalt, which would have came out clear. But I still think it came out pretty good.
