Guitar with flames. I didn't mean the little knobs to look like eyeballs...it just so happened that way. All buttercream, except neck of guitar which is actually a piece of cardboard covered in construction and contact paper.
"Non-Disney" fairy. Hopefully it doesn't look too Disney...or I'm in trouble. "No tinkerbell" was my strict instruction!
Life size to feed 180, "grilled" sugar cookies. I bought a stool from a Boscov's going out of business that was liquidating all its furniture and spray painted it silver. Ash tray is a paper plate covered in aluminum foil, aluminum foil handles. I had so much fun with this cake!
Blue butterfly for a 9 yr old girl's bday. I baked a 6 inch and 9 inch heart for the wings. Body is 4 cupcakes. This one was super fun and a big contestant for my cutest cake ever.
Lots and lots of piping. I wish the fondant was a little cleaner but I loved this cake! Thankfully so did the bride!
I wish I would have made the different shades of blue a little more contrasting...but I liked this cake =] The little car on top was actually a mini picture frame and we put a pic of the bride and groom in it, very cute!
Tinkerbell and her pixie friend. Came as a set from CVS (the only store open this late...I am such a procrastinator...I couldn't buy a real cake topper haha). There is a paper towel tube in there and an ice cream cone of course!
I was asked to make a blue cell phone for a 16 year old girl, and someone in the forums mentioned the palm centro and it looked pretty slick so here is my version of it...I forgot to round the corners but other than that I was pretty happy. I actually covered it in glitter but the lighting doesn't pick up on it at all.
My mom bought me a new book with instructions on making a gumpaste rose. They were much more informative than that little wilton gumpaste booklet so I gave it a whirl and I was pretty pleased, I still have a lot of room for improvement though.
Well all the stores were sold out of the cute little American flags, so I decided to make a more feminine version of the patriotic bear. Thanks to JenWhitlock and bcreations for inspiration for this cake!
Ironically, the bride and groom topper used in this cake was called "The Happy Couple". The owner of local store Kake Kraft Korner helped me divorce happy couple (by breaking the bonds of their legally binding molded plastic), and now Mr. Ex celebrates sweet sweet freedom! Thanks to mrscakesprinkles for the inspiration!

This train looks shockingly similar to the last train cake I made, except for this cake I made sure to buy extra m&ms for left overs =P!!

Baby shower cake for a coworker. The entire thing is buttercream with the exception of the roof, which is purple chocolate. These were my first figure piped animals that I had fun with, just sort of made them up as I went along. I also made the cupcake tree stand with the help of my dad.

Birthday cake for one of the boys of my county's foster parents association. All they asked for was something with a guitar so I tried to make something a 13 year old boy would think was cool. I hope I succeeded haha.
