Sweet 16Th Birthday Cake
Top cake - 8" red velvet cake, and bottom - 10" marble cake. The top layer was so bulgy that I am glad how it finally turned out after polka dots and roses were added. The birthday gal was so happy, and that's what counts. She wanted purple, orange, yellow, green, with black letters and music notes. TFL!

Baby Shower Baby Tub Cake
Had so much fun making this in the middle of the night (for a friend's sis-in-law)! Could not work on all the details for the wood due to time, but I was so thrilled with the duckies! Choc cake, buttercream filling and coat with MMF decors. THANKS for all the inspirations CC!

Pooh And Friends In Hundred Acre Woods
Here I go again with my 3rd pooh cake three years in a row for my 3-year-old. She asked for a hundred acre wood this time, and many thanks to all of you from whom I got the inspirations and ideas. THANK YOU! The figures are chocolate transfers (my second attempt after the failed one on her first BD); cake is covered in MMF, and decorated with with BC trees, grass & clouds and other MMF accents. TFL! :-)

Mod Preg Momma With Umbrella
Made this for one of my best friends at work and tried to match the design to the popular chic momma and green color themes. THANKS so much for all the CCers for the inspirations and mostly for AIDA and Godiva from whom I totally copied ! The patches on the sides are actually covering up the tears on my last-minute made MMF, that went perfectly with the original design! TFL!

Birthday Cake For A 2 Year Old..with Elmo
Made this for a friend's girl who turned two and loves Elmo/SS. MMF with green/pink/yellow marbeled butter cake inside. Used these figurines I ran into at Target. I liked the cake better without the characters. TFL and thanks for all in CC for teaching me SO much.

My Parent's 40Th - Wilton Quiet Violets Cake Attempt
I think this is becoming my signature cake design, simply due to my crazy schedule and the ease with which this can be achieved with my so many left-over RI flowers!!! I had exactly 7 hours to put this together, starting from baking, making the BC icing and the BC flowers while the cakes cooled :) I am happy overall, although the cake needed time to set, and it shows with the bulge in the middle. I aimed for the Wilton Quiet Violets cake, and the RI roses are to hide the defects :) My mom thought it was ordered!! She made it all worth it!! TFL!

Ariel - Little Mermaid
Made this Ariel Cake for my niece's 7th birthday on her request. The doll on top was part of my gift to her. One layer each of butter and chocolate cake with buttercream icing covered in MMfondant. MMF flat rocks and buttercream decorations. Added little characters from my niece's Little Mermaid Game playset.

First Birthday Pooh Cake
Made this for my baby's first birthday. Although it is far from being even good, I am glad about how it finally turned out with all the things I had to manage other than the cake. Covered in MMF with MMF and BC decorations and my first chocolate transfer, pooh bear. Should have listened to all of you in CC and bought colored candy melts rather than trying to color bits of melts with Wilton gel color. Too much corn syrup and it was as good as molding chocolate! Pooh's face's smudged because of that. TFL!

Cupcakes For Father(S)
I am so thrilled about how these turned out. It was my first time making cupcakes. I never had a chance before actually. The new daddy (my hubby) asked yesterday why I never make cupcakes and here's what he and my father got, instead of the big cake I planned. Simple vanilla cupcakes with vanilla BC icing. Fresh fruit, RI flowers and BC leaves. Thanks for looking!

Ivory, Dots, Lace & Rose
Phew...this marks the end of a busy cake weekend :) I am happy with how this cake turned out. Two 9 " rounds, red velvet cake, butter cream icing and royal icing Victorian Rose. Icing is totally butter, which made it ivory color. Hopefully my friend at work I made this cake for will like it...errr...it's for a guy! I was just not in the mood to make a guy cake! :)

Watermelon Cake
Ok....very busy weekend making too many cakes and had to finish this cake while also decorating my hubby's birthday cake and baking two other cakes for a friend at work. Not too good, but hopefully my friend will like it. She loves everything watermelon and I got this idea from bakedecoratecelebrate.com. My cake is "nothing" like it! But I tried. Red velvet cake (used less cocoa) with chocolate chips and green BC icing.

My Hubby's Birthday Cake
The final product is not what I expected, but I am happy with the cake given the limited time I had between baby's naps. This is the first time I used a bench scraper to get the icing smooth. It was coming out very nicely, but it was already cake cutting time, so I had to stop smoothing and add the strawberries. Red velvet cake, buttercream icing and chocolate dipped strawberries. He loved it. That's all what matters :)
