Road Of Life For 80 Years
A very detailed Road of Life, celebrating 80 years of a life well lived. SO many details on this cake, including an edible image of the lady's actual high school (torn down in the early 70s) that I found on the internet; a chicken for her family farm, dominoes on a train track for "mexican train", and on and on. So much fun.

Fall Leaves Wedding Cake
Handmade gumpaste fall leaves, twigs, acorns and berries. I was so happy with how this cake turned out, and I got a phone call later that evening from the MOB telling me that the cake was "one of the highlights of the wedding". Inside it is fall themed as well -- I made a vanilla cake and made an apple cinnamon filling. It tasted like apple pie. (I know, since I had some of the cake crowns...) ;)

Hydrangeas And Pearls Wedding Cake
Four tier cake, half dark chocolate with dark chocolate ganache filling, half vanilla with buttercreme filling. The hydrgangeas on the wedding cake are silks - do not EVER put real hydrangeas on a cake! They require a constant source of water, and on top of that, they are HIGHLY toxic! I made a seperate stand-alone anniversary tier, and that one I made gumpaste hydrangeas for, since it wil be frozen.

Roses And Squares Wedding Cake
On short pillars with silk roses between the tiers. The bottom cake was chocolate silk with buttercreme frosting. The middle and top tiers were french vanilla with pomegranate creme filling. The air conditioning had just been turned on at the facility when I arrived to set up! And it was STEAMY in there. I was a little nervous about my no-Crisco cake!

Mother's Day /birthday Cake Bouquet Of Daisies
Mother's Day and birthday cake. She will be 68, so I put 68 daisies on top. It's a marble cake with raspberry creme filling, covered in buttercreme with fondant strips and a bunch 'a fondant daisies! I got the inspiration from a cake I found here on CC - mine isn't nearly as nice, unfortunately I didn't bookmark the photo but if you know the original, I'd love to post my thanks/credit!

Thank You Cake (Administrative Assistants Day)
My husband asked me last night to make a Thank You cake for his secretary. So here it is. :) I played with my airbrush and a stencil on this cake, and I made "clouds" by spraying around ripped up pieces of paper towel. The flowers on top are made with buttercreme, using the brush embroidery technique. The whole cake is buttercreme, with chocolate silk cake.
