Made this for my Mom for her birthday, she loves to paint so I made her out of gumpaste (thanks to Aine2 for the tutorial) and made little gumpaste paintings which I painted on with watercolors, my daughter painted one of them. My mom loved it. I just about had a heart attack making the 30 min drive to her house but it made it! Chocolate cake with ganache and chocolate buttercream. Covered with fondant and Buttercream icing and chocolate pirouette's for the fence. Thanks for looking!
This was the first cake I made for my daughter a couple of years ago, you would not believe how much effort I put into this little cake, back then I knew nothing about cake decorating. She loved it.
I was dying to try out this technique and loved doing it. 3 layer Chocolate cake between layers with chocolate ganache and chocolate buttercream icing, yum. 6 layer death by chocolate cake. This cake was just for fun and we had even more fun eating it.
First time at fondant, used the wilton fondant and I didn't really like it, will try a different kind next time, loved the bee though!
Got this 3D cake pan off of ebay. Made for my son's 1st birthday. His nickname is tiger so this was perfect. Pound cake with buttercream frosting.
My first try at gumpaste, not too bad.. went a little crazy with the flowers, but my daughter and I had fun making it! Lemon cake with raspberry filling and Lemon Buttercream frosting.
