Second cake 6in round, stood two inches taller than 8in. Diaper bag was modeled after this mommy's gift. Cakes were done by my cousin Carrie, and I provided the cake toppers. Baby Blue Shower Cupcakes
Chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream dyed teal. Fondant star flower with buttercream center, dusted with canary yellow luster dust. Also used small daisy cutter for second flower. Sprinkled white nonpareils on each peak. The baby shower was the day before Halloween, so for a fun twist, I chose gray and black damask cupcake paper and it had a skull and cross bone on the bottom of each cupcake. It was only revealed after the paper was removed!

Littlest Pet Shop Cake
Pet was made to look just like client's favorite pet. Fondant used for dog, accessories, dog house cover, and flowers. Hand painted the eyes on the dog, and added some lavender petal dust on the nose and forehead. The dog house is constructed from a 5 inch cake, that was literally pieced together until it looked like one the the Littlest Pet Shop houses. 10 inch square in my homemade yellow cake, iced in buttercream.

Frangipani Wedding Cupcakes
I did this wedding cake for my best friend that had taken a recent trip to Barbados with her fiance, and discovered this flower there. She photographed them and mentioned to me how pretty they were, and asked if I could tie them into the cake somehow. We had already discussed other flowers, but I told her I would try---I had never done a frangipani before. I said I could maybe do a few for the topper, but mostly stick to the original design. Needless to say, I surprised her and her fiance by making over 130 frangipanis for these cupcakes. They were thrilled! Cake topper is 8 inch round iced in buttercream, covered in fondant. Hand painted using petal dust and pure vanilla to create triple scroll design that the bride designed. (Minor damage from 2 hours of travel). 120 cupcakes, french vanilla and devils food chocolate with buttercream swirl. Frangipani flowers were handmade from fondant, painted with petal dust and lightly coated with daffodil luster duster to give some sheen to the yellow. The leaves were cut and pressed with leaf veiner and painted in various shades of green luster dust.

St. Louis Groom's Cake
10in square iced in chocolate buttercream, Color Flow used for all the sports logos and for the vintage steam train. I used Hershey's chocolate syrup with my buttercream to give off glossy look for pinstriping. This went along with my first wedding cake--I was very happy that it all came together well!

Vineyard Wedding
This is my first wedding cake. I learned a LOT from this cake... this was the first time I've ever matched blue flowers. She was very happy! The tiers are 14, 10, and 6 inches iced in buttercream, flowers are gumpaste and handpainted in gold Luster Dust in various designs with champagne scroll.

Miss Spider's Tea Party Cake
This was a joint effort cake I did with my sister (mocakes!) I love working with fondant and she is so skilled with flowers and piping. She has been doing this for years...I am new to the craft. She has helped me so much. 9x13in iced in buttercream, and 7in oval iced and covered in fondant for tablecloth (found a good use for that oval cake pan!) Royal icing flowers, jumbo marshmallows rolled in green sugar for seats, and both Miss Spider and the tea set are made from fondant. I used leaf cutout for placemats.

Dr. Seuss' Whoville Treats
Colorful cupcakes and three individual 6in square cakes decorated in Seuss character Color Flow. This was a joint birthday party for 3 children, so they chose their favorite Seuss book for their cake decoration. My very creative sister-in-law created the cupcake tower out of pvc pipes and trays. I chose to do minimal cake decoration on the kids individual cakes because the table set up was the true eye grabber. (You should have seen the outdoor decorations!!!)
