Pig Roast Cake
okay some people thought this looked like a manatee (sp). I agree. The nose needed to be slim and longer. An airbrush machine would have done wonders on this but still on my list of items to puchase. Also used the steamer method to get the fondant shiny but the shine faded by the morning and it also spread droplets of water that created holes in the fondat within hours. not sure the trick on that but would love to try again.

Brush Embroidary
from "pretty party cakes" book. This took some time but was so easy and turned out pretty. I finally had my phootographer friend come over and do a backdrop for the picture. Now my cakes look professional without all the clutter in the background. This will be entered into the great american cake show this weekend. Wish me luck!

a sampling I did for a coffee shop owner that wanted to sell my cupcakes in her store. Unfortently we couldn't reach an agreement. She wanted me to sell them to her for 2.50 so she could mark them up to 3.95. I initially went in thinking I would sell them at 4 ( with wrappers included but not shown in picture). I went as low as $3 because I knew I was still making a decent profit. Then I decided if she could sell them for 3.95 then so could I. Why go through someone else who will take a cut?
