Bff Birthday Cake
This was an attempt to do a cake with stripes, it was not the greatest. Made it with buttercream. Next time I'll add piping gel or corn syrup to the buttercream or use Royal icing instead. The cake was the Pink Velvet Raspberry WASC cake with the filling posted here in the Recipe Forum, I can't remember who posted it, but my girlfriend said it was delish! I got a "tiny" slice and it was good. Although I don't care much about using cake mix in my cakes, but I gave it a try...a delicious cake.

Austin's First Birthday
First is baby shower cake, now Austin's birthday cake. Cakes are red velvet (10-inch) with cream cheese filling, almond cream cheese (8-inch) with cream cheese filling; and white cake (6-inch) with cheese cake and raspberry filling covered with buttercream. Designer (yeah! Especially for Austin) shoes made of 50/50 gumpaste and fondant. Other decorations made of fondant. TFL

Open Doors Ministies
Made cake for my hubby childhood friend who is a pastor. One cake is red velvet the other coconut cake with cream cheese filling covered with fondant. Scripture printed on sugar paper with edible ink. Scrolls are cardboard (empty papertowel rolls) covered with fondant and dowel in center for handels. This "Bible" was made using two 11x15 sheet cakes next to each other. TFL

Baby Bag
Orange cake with orange cream filling. I covered cake with fondant and quilt with tracing wheel. The book, lotion, shampoo, lotion, feeding bottle was made using crispy treat and covered with fondant. The labels I printed "Baby Lotion - Apply with Love" on sugarpaper using edible ink. The teddy bear was also made using crispy treat. TFL

Beach Birthday
Made this cake for my mom's best friend. Top cake an 8-inch double chocolate cake with raspberry mousse filling; bottom cake is a 10-inch pina colada cake with coconut & pineapple mousse filling. Cake covered with American buttercream, fondant and gumpaste decoration. Shells in chocolate and sand a mixture of white and light brown sugar. The sunglasses I made using florist wire and pressing circles of black fondant on to wires. Female figure made using 50/50 gumpaste/fondant.
