Son's 1st Communion Cake. Scratch double layer yellow cake w/ buttercream frosting made w/ butter. Didn't get the buttercream layer as smooth as hoped, but it was late! Maybe should have used fondant or crusting buttercream, but my son likes my usual buttercream frosting.
My second attempt at fondant - my son wanted a Lego Cake for his birthday. It is a double layer scratch chocolate cake with a creamy chocolate frosting and filing.
First attempt at fondant and at painting. My daughter wanted a sea turtle cake for her birthday so I gave it a try!
