First Tiered Cake

This was my first tiered cake, and the final project for the Wilton Course 3 class. I used buttercream instead of fondant. My daughter selected the color for the roses.

Course 2 Final

This was my final cake from Wilton's course 2 class. I had so much leftover royal icing I made the butterfly to add to the cake.

John Deere

My husband wanted a tractor cake for Father's Day so this is what he got. I hadn't taken any wilton classes yet so I didn't know about transfers. I just used a toothpick to make the design on the cake then filled it in with stars.

Best Wishes

Cake for my 8th graders before they moved on to high school. This was my second attempt at buttercream roses.

Firework Cupcakes

Used star pull outs to create the fireworks effect.

Hearts

8" heart cake with buttercream icing. I used a cookie cutter to draw in the heart outline on the cake. The side is iced in a basketweave pattern and the top border is a rope.

Numbers

A single layer 8" cake for Math Night at our school. It was one of the prizes for playing "Cake Walk." I outlined number cookie cutters then filled in with a star tip.

Bridal Shower

This was a half sheet cake and my first attempt at cornelli lace. It took forever! This was my first WASC cake. This was before I bought the letter stencils which have definately improved the writing on my cakes.

A Veggietales Birthday

A FBCT of the Pirates from VeggieTales. The cake was WASC.

Spring Birthday

Royal icing daisies decorate this cake. The bottom border was done with the multiple opening tip to resemble grass.

Beach Birthday

Half sheet cake, half chocolate, half WASC. This was for a surprise birthday party and the mother said to do something with a beach theme. I used piping gel tinted blue for the water and sugar in the raw for the sand. The flip flops are Wilton candles. The shells are made out of white chocolate.

Graduation Cap

This is an 8" WASC cake. The cap is thin foamcore board that is covered with fondant on a half sphere that was also covered in fondant. I used a diamond impression mat on the side.

Musical Moment

I made this cake for my eighth grade band students. I have taught them for three years and they were moving on to high school. The cake is WASC with Sugarshack's buttercream icing. For anyone that isn't musical, it reads, "Never B-flat, sometimes B-sharp, always B-natural."

Dora Birthday Cake

Both of these cakes are covered in MMF, which was the first time I had used it. The top tier is a plain chocolate cake and the bottom tier is WASC. Dora, Boots, and Swiper are toys that are sitting on white chocolate plaques. All the rest of the decorations are MMF. This was for a little girl's second birthday.
