Cake is covered in buttercream.. the decorations are handmade with fondant. The logs are rice krispy treats covered in fondant. We dusted the fondant bugs/decorations with chalk.

Mad Hatter Tea Party

I made this cake for a teacher lunchen. The theme was the Mad hatter tea party. It took me about 21/2 weeks to make all the charactors, they are all fondant. Thank you all at CC for your pictures it helped me so much. This is my biggest fondant project, I was very pleased with it and so were the teachers. Thanks for looking.

Sea Shells Gumpaste And White Chocolate

Large open Sea shell with pearl and small open shell with pearl on the cake are gumpaste, the rest of the shells are white chocolate. Next to the large open pearl shell on the board is a CAKE that looks like a shell. All the shells are dusted with non toxic chalk then with pearl dust. Before I delivered I put a small amount of brown sugar on the board to look like sand.

These are White Chocolate and gumpaste. The large shell and small shell with pear are gumpaste. The other shells are white chocolate. I dusted all of them with chalk then dusted them with pearl dust. I am in the process of making cake. Thanks for looking.

Gingerbread House

This is my first ever gingerbread house. Did not place in the competition. Gumpaste pumpkins, dog and ducks the trees are popcorn balls. I have a close up picture in the 3D Galleries. The book Gingerbead For All Seasons was amazing and the pattern fit right together. Thanks for looking.

Gumpaste Roses

This is my first Bridal shower cake, I wanted it to look like a small wedding cake as they are having a small wedding and no cake. My first time doing gumpaste roses for a cake. The invitations were brown with green and pink so tried to stay with those colors.

Black And White With Daisys And Tulips

Diamond pattern with black dots. Larger black ribbon with smaller blue ribbon on the bottom of each tier. Fresh daisys and tulips. I am really proud of this cake. Its only my 3rd wedding cake. Thanks to my 2 cake buddies for all their support and help. (yes Kathy I mean YOU...LOL)

Royal Icing Elephants

I made this cake well I was taking my cake decorating classes for someone who had seen one of my babyshower cakes. The elephants are made from royal icing, the finished cake had 3 elephants on it and the name of the little guy on the side of the cake. It was his first birthday. All my pictures are to big to download on this site but this one wasn't.

This cake a friend and I made together. Cake is buttercream frosting. The blockes are fondant, they were heavey so we had to use cardboard on the bottom and support with dowels.

This is my second wedding cake, my friend and I made it together. It is buttercream. The fresh flowers were pput on the cake at the reception.

The reason I took cake decorating classes was to make my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary cake. So here it is. I did not make the flowers, I am learning how to now. The fondant lace molds are very fun to work with and very easy.
