Hearts And Roses Wedding Cake
I made this for my cousins wedding. The tiers are heart shaped 6, 8, and 10 inch. Devils food with buttercream icing and white chocolate fondant. The roses and leaves are gumpaste. She wanted red roses cascading down one side of the cake and silver hearts going from one tier to the next (like graffiti). TFL!

Polka Dot Baby Shower Cake
The mommy was very specific on what she wanted. A 2 tier cake, blue with brown polka dots with a bow on top and ribbon coming down the sides. She also wanted the cake to be funfetti (a box mix) with whipped icing and fondant. Well, the design was simple but I now know that you DO NOT put fondant on whipped icing. I used Wiltons whipped icing mix so that the cake would not need to be refrigerated and MMF. Well, the icing was very soft and fluffy so when I put the fondant on it, it was next to impossible to get out the wrinkles or smooth it. Thankfully, the polka dots and ribbon covered a lot of the wrinkles and there was a decent looking area that became the front of the cake which is what I took a picture of. Well, I will know better next time. :) Oh, and the bow is gumpaste so mommy could keep it. TFL!

Disney Fairies Cake
This was done for my cousin. She wanted Tinkerbell on her cake and I found a set that had Tinkerbell plus 4 other fairies, a butterfly, and a beetle bug so they all went on there. :) It's devils food cake with chocolate buttercream. The flowers and leaves are MMF. I used a textured rolling pin for the cut out flowers. You can barely see it in the pictures though. This was my first time doing ribbon roses. I think they are so cute. And I dusted all the flowers with pearl dust. I just used a fork to get the tree bark texture on the side of the cake. TFL!

Care Bears Birthday Cake
This was for my cousin's birthday. She requested that I make her a plaque like I did for her little brothers Spongebob cake (pic is in my gallery). The plaque is gumpaste. I made different colors, twisted them together then rolled it out and cut a rectangle. The cake is devils food with buttercream icing. The care bears are FBCT. TFL!

Confused Birthday Cake
My aunts friend wanted me to make a cake for a man that was turning 65. She said that his favorite sports were golf and tennis and she said she wanted the cake to be funny. This is what I came up with. Its red velvet with cream cheese icing. The people are FBCT, the pond is piping gel, and the sand trap is crushed graham crackers. It took forever to pipe all that grass (the cake is 18" x 13") and by the time I was done my hand was so shaky that the writing didn't come out all that well. It was very well liked though. I was told that people in the restaurant who weren't with the party were coming over to take pictures of it. :) TFL

Disney Princess Cake
Thanks to CC users especially Tat for the inspiration for this cake. The cake is strawberry with buttercream icing. It is a 12 inch 2 layer square with an 8 inch 1 layer circle on top. The scrolls and drop flowers are RI. The towers are ice cream cones that I filled with cake scraps and iced with buttercream. The picture on top is something I found online, printed then laminated and put in a gumpaste frame that I made. I used a texture mat to get the cobblestone look on the square cake. I was going to do that on the circle cake too but I forgot...oops :) TFL!

Alabama Birthday Cake
This is a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. The houndstooth pattern was done with a stencil that I made. I printed the pattern on a piece of card stock and cut out the black part with an xacto knife. I then put the card stock on the cake and used Wilton black color mist to spray on the pattern. I had to spray it quite a few times and it still didn't come out really black. The Alabama emblem was supposed to be a FBCT but thankfully I looked at it before I put it on the cake because I forgot to reverse the image before printing it so the emblem was backwards. (I was so mad at myself but it was my first time trying this technique) I didn't have time to do another FBCT so I had to freehand it. I don't like to freehand but everyone liked it so I guess it's ok. :)

Baby's Nursery Cake
I made this cake for my cousins baby shower. The cake is fudge marble with bc and fondant. All the decorations on top are made out of gumpaste. The rug and blanket in the cradle were made to match the bedding that the mommy to be picked out. The cradle was made with a mold I got on Ebay and the rocking chair was made using a template on the Wilton website. I just used a ruler to cut out the pieces of the dresser. I had the chair put together over a week before the shower and the day of the shower it broke twice. :( Thankfully I was able to (mostly) repair it so that it could be on the cake. (1 arm is not attached but it did stay in place) TFL!

Jungle Baby Shower Cake
Strawberry cake with buttercream icing covered in white chocolate fondant. The animals and palm tree trunks are gumpaste. I made palm fronds out of gumpaste but they were too heavy and broke off so I just used some silk leaves that I had. I had a major malfunction with the fondant on this cake. It was drying out and pleating really bad but thankfully the animals and leaves around the base hid a lot of it. It just wasn't a good fondant day but I think it came out alright in the end. :)

Spongebob Birthday Cake
I made this for my cousin. Devil's food cake with Rhonda's MMF (my first time using it and it is so much better than the store bought fondant). I made the cake board look like the table top from the Krusty Krab and I did use the store bought fondant for that. Spongebob was made using Wilton candy melts. Spongebob's pants and legs were made with fondant. The birthday sign was made using gumpaste that I sprayed wih Wilton color mist and I used edible marker to decorate it. The Spiderman candle is there because the birthday boy loves Spiderman too. :)

Crib Baby Shower Cake
I made this cake for a friend from work. This is a devil's food cake covered in buttercream and fondant. The flowers and bow were made with fondant and gumpaste mix. The baby was made using the First Impressions baby mold and gumpaste. (The tutorial on CC was awesome!) The crib was made with color flow icing (kind of like royal but stronger I think), with ribbon weaved in.

Disney Babies Baby Shower Cake
I did this for a friends baby shower. It was made with devil's food cake and buttercream icing. The bottom cake is a 1 layer 11" x 15" and the blocks are all 2 layer 4" cakes. The pictures on the blocks were done using the chocolate transfer method and Wilton Candy Melts. This was my first time doing chocolate transfers.

Baby Shower Cake With Booties
This was for a friend of my mom's. It was made with devil's food cake and vanilla frosting that you buy at the grocery store. I think that's why the icing isn't very smooth. The booties on the left were made with candy cups with a ball of foil attached to it with royal icing then covered using a star tip and royal icing.
