I had some free time this Holiday and fooled around trying to make Alstroemeria gumpaste flowers. I'm very happy with how they turned out. TFL
I made this cake for a co-worker's Bridal Shower. All GP flowers. The brooch is50/50 fondant and GP and tiny edible pearls. I made the lace on the side of the lower tier by running the fondant through the pasta machine with real lace and dusted with Antique Satin Luster dust. I based the design from a Ron Ben Israel cake I saw once. TFL
I just returned from Nicholas Lodge Holiday In Gumpaste class. It was amazing! Poinsettia, spruce, holly, mistletoe, pine and cones, ivy and Christmas rose and bud. TFL
A couple of firsts. First TT cake and first freehand piping. The brush embroidery turned out much better than my first attempt. All fondant with GP flowers. The small molded flowers are fondant. I sprayed the whole thing with pearl luster spray. I love the effect. Thanks to all CCer's for the great inspiration.

This was my final project for the class I took with Lori Blethen from Wildflowers by Lori. It is a dummy cake covered in fondant with RI brush embroidery. All the flowers and leaves are gumpaste. This was also my first attempt at a covered Limoge box. TFL
