Ganached Chocolate Fudge Cake
This is a dark chocolate fudge cake with raspberry filling. Around the outside are chocolate covered raspberries and strawberries. After watching 2 different tutorials on how to get the sharp edges on ganached cakes, I was inspired to try it.....on both the cakes I did this weekend.

Young Couple Topper
This was a topper I made during some very humid weather in Texas. My first attempt at this totally melted down from humidity. Luckily I left myself an extra day or two. While this one stayed together better, I could not get the man to stop looking down his wife's shirt.....and I really tried to. After awhile I decided what was meant to be was meant to be and left it.

Cookie Monster
Even though I have it under children birthcakes, it was really created for a co-worker who LOVES cookies. It is a modified version of MacsMom Chocolate Fudgy with chocolate buttercream between the layers. It has been a few months since I made it so I do not remember the flavor I used to make the fur. I think it was chocolate buttercream with Indy's butter cream mixed with dark blue/tiffany blue colorings.

Geocacher Valentine Cake
This was made for a coworker whose wife is a Geocacher. A Geocacher is someone who uses a gps to hunt for caches/treasures hidden by others. It is the Chocolate fudgie version of WASC provided by MacsMom, torted with a raspberry mouse, topped with ganuche and wrapped in white chocolate. The cake is about 6".

Rick_60Th_Birthday.jpg
This was for a co-worker's 60th birthday. It is a chocolate fudgie variation of the WASC provided by MacsMom. I added chopped up Dove dark chocolate to the mix. It was a 10" cake that once cut only lasted for 1 1/2 hours...a new record for my friends. Overall I was not happy with a few things such as I did not size my cake topper correctly for a 10" cake. I need to work on creating a plan and sticking to it.

Billsbd-2008.jpg
My first attempt at this type of design. I found it difficult working with the chocolate panels. They had my fingerprints all over them by the time I had put them around the cake. I was seriously disappointed with that. Then I asked myself...what would CC do? It came to me to take a little vodka and a brush to each panel. Most of the fingerprints washed off and what didn't , at least no longer look quite like fingerprints. It is a chocolate cake from CakeLove, IMBC icing and carmel filling

Teddie Bear Baby Shower
This is a cake made for a co-worker. I made the cake and the teddie bear (from Aine2's instructions) and my daughter took it and put it all together. The cake is chocolate with chocolate pudding and chopped up dove candy iced with BC. The filling was fresh raspberries pureed and mixed with Rich's Bettercream.
