I originally designed this for a friend's daughter who was turning 18. She wanted her debutant ball to have an Alice in Wonderland theme. She wanted it to be whimsical and colorful. I wanted it to have a tilted teapot. I was just then starting to learn how to use fondant. I mostly used cutters. I actually made another one with Alice sitting next to a teapot a few months later and surprisingly won at our local cake show.
Mocha chiffon cake with buttercream frosting and airbrushed. Wings and bones are made of fondant. This creation was inspired by Ms. Janet Brown.
