I was asked to do this cake for a friend's 40th surprise birthday party...He is a funeral director. I did get a few basic ideas from here, but mostly from searching on the internet and looking at actual photos of caskets. The lights on the sides both light up, which I thought was a cute touch. She has me also write, "Here lies John's youth! Happy 40th Birthday!" lol I don't love it, but for my first time, I thought it came out okay...If there is any input or suggestions, I would LOVE to hear them!

This is my first attempt at a flowr pot cake...Could be some improvements, but overall for a first attempt, I am happy with it..I made this for Sunday for my mother for Mother's Day. It is a strawberry shortcake...

Here is the front and side of the Bridal Shower cake that I did for my neice. I stressed a lot over this cake, because it was my first time doing it. All my questions to everyone on here worked great! I wish I could remember the person's name I got the idea from on here. I tried to replicate her cake, but I couldn't get the ruffles on the bottom, so I did flowers instead.
Hi Everyone. This is my very first whimisical cake that I made for my daughter's 2nd birthday...her theme was, obviously, The Cat in the Hat. I had a blast making this cake. Enjoy.
