First Birthday Cake
I made this for a neighbor. Her daughter is turning 1 on July 5th so they thought an American Girl theme would be perfect. Yellow cake with BC frosting covered in fondant. Stars where painted with Wilton sparkle dust. They kept wanting to lay down since I didn't get heavy grade wire. I'm also still having trouble smoothing out the fondant to cut it even at the bottom.

Fashionista Birthday Cake
Yellow cake covered in Wilton's fondant. Purse on top was molded to match invitations. Used a straw to stamp out the button. I did have a hard time getting the pink fondant to hug against the cake, as you can see the ripple, but I still was very pleased with the outcome. The little girl was turning eleven and it was the first cake she had that didn't have a character on it.

I've replaced a horrible camera phone photo with the one I took before my camera battery went dead. This is a much better shot of the cake. I made this for a three year old boy who adored it. He also had matching cookies with coordinating bag toppers. For his gift I altered a paint can that said "Big Ole Bucket of Dinosaurs" and filled with what else but dinosaurs. Oh yes, the cake is a sheet cake underneath with a dino on top. All buttercream frosting.

Forklift Cookies
I make these for the girls in my husband's office. They sell forklift batteries and they think these are too cute. Of course, I normally do them in pink for them. My husband says he doesn't care what color they are as long as they're tasty! I'm still working on getting the icing to the right consistency.

Ice Cream Scoop Cookies
I got this from someone else's suggestion. I loved it!! She had tried it with strawberry flavored jello but here I did the lime jello. The are very tasty. My daughter's birthday is in June and its always so hot the ice cream melts so I plan on doing these for her next year. Mine did spread a little making them look a little less like ice cream but it shaped up once I put them in the bowl. You get the idea.

High School Musical
This is the cake I did for my daughter's 7th birthday. She wanted High School Musical on her cake and didn't want it store bought. So I decided to give ti a try. My first try with fondant went really bad, but this experience wasn't bad or painful at all. I like the outcome. It was better when she realized she had trick sparkler candles and they kept relighting!!!

Texas Flag Western Style
This is a cake I made for my nephew's first birthday. It was easy to do but time consuming from all the stars. We thought it would look better with the sheriff's star although it would have been good with a fondant star or white chocolate. It was probably one of my best. I feel I get better with every cake I do!
